30-Year-old Man Remanded in Custody

A 30-year-old unemployed man, Joselyn Manley, has been remanded at the Male Correctional Centre after being accused of stealing valuable equipment from Sky Vision College in Wilberforce, Freetown.
Manley appeared before Magistrate Mamakoh Saio Kallon at Pademba Road Court No. 3, facing a single count of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to police reports, the theft took place on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, at the college’s campus at #5 Main Motor Road. Manley allegedly stole two surface water pumps valued at Le5,000 and a generator battery worth Le4,557, all totaling Le10,857. The items were said to be under the custody of one Eric Sam King at the time.
When the charge was put to him in court, the accused did not enter a plea.
Following the prosecution’s application, Magistrate Kallon ordered that Manley be remanded and adjourned the matter to 11th August 2025 for further hearing.
