‘’ONGA Maggi Is Safe For Cooking’’

-Says Standard Bureau

The Sierra Leone Standards Bureau has drawn attention to widespread allegations making the rounds on social media discrediting the quality of ONGA Maggi.

The SLSB strongly refutes this accusation because it has test results for ONGA Maggi that goes back five years. Current testing shows that the brand complies with the National Standards and is therefore suitable for its intended use.

The Sierra Leone Standards Bureau is the only statutory National Quality Infrastructure established in 1996 by an Act of Parliament to conduct scientific tests on Water, food, and non-food items in the Bureau’s food Microbiology and Chemistry laboratories.

Therefore, it is recommended that the general public, particularly the business community, contact the Bureau’s Headquarters at Wahman Abu Compound, Kelsey Road, Ferry Junction in Freetown, for explanation and validation.
