RE: A REPORT ON A CASE OF LESBIANISM ACTIVITIES REPORTED BY ANGRY YOUTHS OF THE CALABA TOWN COMMUNITY IN FREETOWN AGAINST FINNAH CONTEH A RENOWNED LESBIANISM ACTIVIST OF THE CALABA TOWN COMMUNITY

INTRODUCTION: This has to do with a case of Lesbianism (same sex) activities conduct likely to cause the breach of the peace reported by Angry Youths of the Calaba Town Community in Freetown against Finnah Conteh a renowned Lesbianism activist of the Calaba Town Community. This case was incidental for investigation.
BRIEF FACTS: on Wednesday 20th August, 2025, at around 8:30 hours, GMT, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Calaba town police station in Freetown received a tip off from the community people of Congo town about a social event of Lesbianism, (Same Sex), LGBTI.
activities and buggery by one Finnah Conteh a renowned Lesbianism of No 6 Mansaray Lane
Calaba Town, Freetown and her partner of the same community.
According to the community people, on Wednesday 20th August, 2025, a lady by the name of Adama Conteh happened to be the cousin of Finnah Conteh a renowned Lesbian left her mobile phone at the resident of Finnah Conteh for charging.
Later on that day, this woman called Adama Conteh went to collect her mobile phone to Finnah Conteh where she met her and her partner naked on the spot while they were engaging themselves doing Lesbianism or same sex activities.
According to Adama Conteh, on her arrival at the scene of incident to collect her mobile phone, she met the main door opened at the resident of Finnah Conteh at No 6 Mansaray Lane Calaba Town, Freetown. When she entered the parlor, she saw both Finnah Conteh and her partner engaging themselves doing Lesbianism activates in the in the parlor. Both partners forgot to lock the door although they were not expecting any body to go inside the parlor. According to report, when Adama Conteh saw them, she immediately raised an alarm where neighbors and other angry youths rushed at the scene and met the partner of Finnah Conteh naked in the parlor whilst Finnah Conteh ran into the room and jumped over the window and ran away for her safety. her partner was alleged to have been mercilessly beaten by the angry youths.
Upon hearing this intelligence, officers on duty from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Calaba Town Police Station led by Assistant Superintendent A. B. Kamara raided the said address. Amving at the said incident location at No. 6 Mansaray Lane Calaba Town, , where the alleged Lesbianism activities were taking place, the officers later identified the building which was frequented the most as people were going in and coming out.
Acting upon this observation, police officers broke into these premises to effect arrest on reasonable suspicion of female same sexual activities and buggery which is illegal under Sierra Leonean Law. At the scene, massive arrests were made, while Finnah Conteh escaped from the said incident place.
Suspects who were arrested were taken to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Calaba Town Police Station for further questioning and investigation. Statement was taken from suspects in the local dialect of Krio. They were told about the reason for their arrest which is the offence of buggery and involving in female same sex activities which is illegal in Sierra Leone as prescribed in section 61 of the offences against the person’s act 1861 and carries a maximum sentence of up to life imprisonment.
The police observed that Finnah Conteh was the prime suspect who will give substantial evidence about the said incident. The Police have no alternative but declared Finnah Conteh Wanted for the offence of Lesbianism. Finnah Conteh realized that she is no longer safe in Sierra Leone, so she escaped to an unknown destination for her safety.
The Police are encouraging the general public to give vital information that will led to the arrest of Finnah Conteh. As the investigation continues, Finnah Conteh is nowhere to be seen and she was declared Wanted by the Sierra Leone Police. Investigation is still in progress.
ACTIONS TAKEN:
l. Officers visited the scene of the incident to assess and gather evidence.
2. Statements were collected from neighbors and other witnesses present at the time of the incident.
INVESTIGATION:
Witnesses identified Finnah Conteh as suspects of being involved into a social event of LGBTI activities, buggery and Lesbianism activities in their community. The Matter has been escalated to senior police officials for further investigation. Efforts to identify and apprehend other suspects including Monday who raised the alarm of suspecting them of doing Homosexual activities and Abdul Sankoh are ongoing.
Conclusion:
The Sierra Leone Police are treating this incident as a serious case of LGBTI activities and buggery. The police will continue to investigate and bring suspect Finnah Conteh who is responsible to justice and security measures have been recommended.
