Introduction                                                                                      

ActionAid Sierra Leone (AASL) is a registered international organization (NO: 27264198) founded in 1972 and operating in more than 45 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.   AASL started operations in Sierra Leone in October 1988 and is operating in the Western Area, Kambia, Bombali, Tonkolili, Bo, Kono, Moyamba and Karene Districts. The agency works in partnership with poor and marginalized people to eradicate poverty by overcoming the injustice and inequity that causes it. 

ActionAid Sierra Leone is implementing a project funded by Imagine Worldwide with project titled “tablet learning in 19 schools in Karene District”.   AASL therefore, seeks supplier(s) to bid for the following items as per lot below:

  1. Bidders should quote for the above item in Leones (Local currency).
  •  Bids will be evaluated, and contracts will be awarded to the Bidder meeting the required qualification criteria.
  • Payment will be made within 2 (two) weeks after 100% supply of goods is received with, invoice, and delivery note for Lots two (2) and three (3) whilst Lot one (1) will be done as per the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • All bids will be conducted through national and International Competitive procedure set forth in the ActionAid Sierra Leone Financial Policy & Procedure
  • Below are the criteria for evaluation:

 “A Certified True Copy of a Valid Business Registration/Renewal Certificate.

“A Certified True Copy of Valid Tax Clearance Certificate from the National Revenue Authority (NRA) .

“A Certified True Copy of National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) clearance certificate.

“Valid Municipal/Local Council license.

 The successful bidder(s) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sierra Leone. In addition, the successful bidder (s) must ensure adherence of the following ActionAid International Policies:

  1. Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse (SHEA) Policy
  2. Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy
  3. Child Safeguarding Policy
  4. Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abuse (PSEA) Policy
  5. Anti-Terrorist Funding Policy
  • Bids must be sent in either hard or soft copies. Hard copies must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to:

Bids must be delivered to the above address on or before 10am 2nd September 2024.

Late Bids will be rejected.

All Lots One (1), two (2) and three (3) Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders or representatives.  Lots two (2) and three (3) will be opened at our Freetown office address on 2nd  September 2024 at 10:05 AM whilst Lot One (1) bid will be opened on 3rd September 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Makeni Office address stated above.
