The All People’s Congress flagbearer aspirant, Ady Macauley Esq has donated 60 bags of Rice, 2 bags sugar, 3 jelly cans of cooking oil and 4 bags onions to the people of Masimera in Port Loko District.
Mr. Macauley was welcomed by the people of Masimera in a grand style and was accompanied by his mother Madam Kadie, and former Presidential Youth Aid, Alie Conteh under former President Ernest Bai Koroma. Also in the delegation were Julius Bambay Kamara (Jr) future aspiring Member of Parliament and other senior party officials.
The Member of Parliament Hon. Memunatu Jalloh and the Councillor were also present to grace the event.
The youth leader of Masimera Chiefdom, Santigie Koroma informed the people that they were very happy to see their brother in Masimera Town. ‘’We have always counted Mr. Macauley as the number one person in this chiefdom. Ady has done many things for us in this chiefdom. If today, we have a roundabout in this township it is through Ady Macauley’s efforts as he donated 50 bags of cement towards the construction of the roundabout,’’ Santigie stated.
He also recalled that the Paramount Chief requested from Ady Macauley that they needed a community hall and he fulfilled his promise by constructing a community hall for the people of Masimera.
Mr. Macauley said in a mammoth crowd that he was happy to be with the people of Masimera, adding that whatever he has he is willing to share it with them. He disclosed to them that he is aspiring for the APC Flagbearer. ‘’With your support and the grace of Allah, we will succeed to take over the presidency. The ball is in your court. Let us come together and redeem our country, Mr. Macauley stated.
During his visit, he also donated NLe10, 000 (Ten thousand Leones) which is to be distributed amongst the Imams, the youth, and women.
It could be recalled that before he travelled to Masimera, he donated 500 bags of Rice to the APC party, which was received, by the Deputy Chairman of the APC, Ambassador Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh at the party’s Headquarter on Old Railway Line in Freetown.
