This incident has generated concerns over the accountability of legal professionals and the need for stronger oversight within the legal system to protect the rights of both local and diaspora Sierra Leoneans. Many are calling on the Sierra Leone Bar Association and relevant authorities to take decisive action against corrupt lawyers who are alleged to be 419s and liability to their vulnerable clients.
