President Bio to Rescue Karena

Following the collapse of the only bridge used as an entry and exist route triggered by a loaded truck that attempted to cross the bridge, the people of Karena District are urgently calling on President Maada Bio to come to their rescue and swiftly find solution to their desperate plight.
According to some residents who spoke to this medium in a frustrated mood, they said for the past 50 years they have been appealing to both past and present governments for the construction of a better road so as to remove the inconvenience they have been experiencing. One resident intimated the Daybreak Newspaper that during the previous regime a road construction project was launched and work commenced on it but sadly it was later abandoned.
The collapsed bridge has caused a cut-off point between Makeni and Kamakwie in a village call Mathehun.
The Sierra Leone Roads Authority has however assured the affected people that the situation will be resolved soonest by providing an alternative route for the people of Karena. However, the people are urging President Bio and the government to find a permanent solution latest December, 2024.
The residents said any government that’s going to accomplish their dreams they will surely vote solidly for that government. ‘’President Bio is a TALK N DO President, and a listening President. We believe he will listen to the cry of the people,’’ an elderly resident stated.
