As They Book Quarter Final Spot…

Agric. Minister Shines in Inter-MDA Gala

The Inter-MDA Football Competition continued with great excitement on Thursday, 6th November 2025, at the Sadium Practicing Field, where the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Henry Musa Kpaka, delivered an inspiring performance that helped his ministry secure a decisive 2–1 victory over the Immigration Services.

Dr. Kpaka, a former footballer, not only featured in the match but played from kick-off to the final whistle, displaying energy, determination, and leadership on the pitch. His presence boosted the confidence of the Agriculture Ministry team as they fought their way from third place to secure a quarterfinal qualification.

The highly contested match saw both sides pushing for dominance, but it was the Agriculture Ministry that showed greater composure and discipline, sealing the win with two brilliant goals. The Immigration Services managed to pull one back, but it was not enough to stop the Agriculture team from progressing.

Speaking to journalists after the match, Minister Kpaka expressed great satisfaction.

“I feel really good because we were sitting in third place, but after beating the Immigration Services, we have now qualified for the quarterfinals. This game was truly a do-or-die match for us; it determined our qualification, and that’s why I took it upon myself to join the team and give my all.”

The minister went on to say that he still possesses remarkable stamina and passion for the game.

“I have more energy than most of the players on the field today, and that helped me contribute fully to the victory,” he added with a smile.

Dr. Kpaka also applauded the ongoing Inter-MDA Football Competition, describing it as one of President Julius Maada Bio’s innovative ways of promoting togetherness, unity, and healthy engagement among government workers.

“This competition is a brilliant initiative. It brings ministries together, strengthens teamwork, and brings government closer to the people.”

Looking ahead to the quarterfinals, the minister assured supporters that the team is more prepared than ever.

“We are going to prepare better than before because every match is different and requires its own approach. Our focus now is to go all the way and be crowned champions.”

He also expressed appreciation to fans and ministry staff who have consistently supported the team.

“To our supporters, we promise to continue putting smiles on your faces. The only thing that will stop me from playing is if I am out of town. As long as I am around, I will always make myself available for the team.”

The Agriculture Ministry’s qualification has energized their supporters, who believe the team, powered by the minister’s leadership, has what it takes to compete strongly in the next round.

The tournament continues to attract widespread attention as MDAs battle for pride, unity, and the coveted championship title.
