The National Pentecostal Church on Wednesday held a power-packed service under the inspiring theme “Entering into God’s Rest.” The event, which attracted hundreds of worshippers, was a moment of spiritual renewal, heartfelt worship, and divine reflection.

The service was graced by the Head of the National Pentecostal Mission, Bishop Benjamin B. Bangura, who delivered an opening address filled with encouragement and hope. He reminded the congregation that “true rest is found only in God — when we surrender our struggles and trust in His promises.”
Rev. Supt. Mrs. Mary S. Kamara, who served as the scripture reader, read from the Holy Scriptures that emphasized faith, obedience, and God’s eternal promise of peace. Her calm and graceful delivery added depth and solemnity to the service.
The guest speaker, Bishop Magnus Bendu, delivered a powerful sermon that captivated the hearts of many. Speaking on the importance of spiritual rest, he urged believers to release their worries and allow God to guide their lives. “When we rest in God,” he said, “we cease from our own struggles and begin to experience His divine strength and purpose.”
Worshippers could be seen deeply moved by the message, many lifting their hands in praise and gratitude. One attendee shared, “This message came at the right time. It reminded me that no matter the challenges, God’s rest brings peace and assurance.”
The service concluded with songs of thanksgiving and a special prayer session led by Rev. Sorie E. S. Mansaray, blessing the congregation and the nation at large.
The “Entering into God’s Rest” service is expected to remain a spiritual landmark in the church’s calendar, reminding all believers of the comfort and strength found in the presence of God.
