Man Arraigned in Court for Stealing IPhone and Cash

Twenty-eight year-old Ibrahim Kamara, a Business man made another appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura of Pademba Road Court No.8 in Freetown on a count charge to wit Larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Friday 6th June 2025 at Fullah Choice Guest House Regent Road in the western area in Freetown Stole one IPhone 11 promax blue black in colour with physical cash of one thousand Leones all to the total value of eleven thousand Leones(11,000) property of Adama Sesay
Detective Police Constable 14898 Joseph Lamin Dumbuya lead Prosecution witness number one Adama Sesay she recognized the accused person. She recalled on the 6th June 2025 on the above date the accused met her in a bar at Regent Road Central by Goderich Street the accused asked her if she could have a drink him where she responded in the affirmative and the accused bought her one Voody She said the accused asked her to sleep with her she accepted and she told the accused the price which was seven hundred Leones but the accused told her he didn’t have the money however they went to sleep and in the morning she did not see the accused when she woke up not knowing that the accused person has stolen her phone and her money.
She added that she enquired from the owner of the hotel who replied that he did not see the accused person. The accused was arrested and taken to the Central Police Station, Freetown.
Prosecution witness number two Samuel Sesay a staff at the said guest House recognized the accused and the complainant in this matter
He recalled on the 6th June 2025 on the said date at around 12:00am going up to VIP guest with a woman but he did not know who the person was normally when the accused booked a place he would leave at around 6:00 or 7:00am on the day in question the accused came to him around 4:00am to wake him up to open the gate when he approached the accused he was holding two mobile phones and a plastic himself together with the accused they walked down to the gate and he opened the gate for him after the accused person left.
The accused person was not legally represented but he was cross-examined by both witnesses.
Meanwhile. Magistrate Samura refused bail and sent the accused person to the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to the 18th July 2025.
