At Tegloma Executive Inauguration…

Chairman Pessima Calls For Unity

By Coordinator

The Chairman Desmond Pessima, Presidential Adviser on Youth who also doubles as SLPP North America Chairman, was a special Guest of Honor during the inaugural ceremony of the Tegloma Washington DC Executive in Maryland.

He commenced his statement by expressing that all are happy to be present. Are we all excited?” he asked. He further thanked the Tegloma Washington DC chapter for giving him the opportunity to deliver a statement.

He furthered saying,, on behalf of himself and wife, the honorable Member of Parliament, Hon. Rachel Mariatu Pessima, and the SLPP, congratulate the President-elect Mr. John Sandi and his Executive.

“Tegloma has been an organization that has contributed immensely to the socio-economic development of our country, Sierra Leone. Although it is not a political organization, I believe the political stability and continuous democratic process in our country are among the bedrocks and foundations upon which Tegloma has built a strong history.

As I look around the room and see beautiful ladies and handsome gentlemen, it symbolizes the country we all come from—Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone is a beautiful country, and wherever we go, we represent it beautifully, he asserted.

“Ladies and gentlemen, as we are all here tonight supporting Tegloma, I know it is because we have Sierra Leone at heart. It is because we want our country to progress. It is because we want Sierra Leone to be counted among the developed countries in the world. I want to use this opportunity tonight to call on all to continue in that path.

Whatever little we can do in our own way to push our country forward, let us do it, he challenged them. Tegloma has done it for over fifty years, he affirmed.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have a responsibility and an obligation to ensure that whatever we do in our private and public lives, we are seeking the interest of Sierra Leone. As Tegloma is non-political, we should think of Sierra Leone above politics.

Let us put our country first and politics behind. Ladies and gentlemen, I speak here because Sierra Leone is in my heart, and in everything I do,

I want to make sure I put Sierra Leone first.

On that note, on behalf of myself, my family, the honorable Rachel Pessima, and the Sierra Leone People’s Party North America, I again officially congratulate President John Sandi and his newly elected Executive team.

“I thank you all.”
