At the Lands Ministry…

Director Tamba Dauda Vows Tough Action

The Professional Head and Director of Surveys and Lands, Mr. Tamba S. Dauda, has again issued a strong warning to staff and the general public involved in the forgery of land documents.

He made it clear that his office is fully prepared to take firm and decisive action against anyone found guilty of forging survey plans, land deeds, or other official documents related to land ownership.

Mr. Dauda emphasized that the integrity of the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Country Planning must be upheld at all costs. He described the illegal act of document forgery as a serious crime that not only undermines public trust but also creates chaos in the land sector—leading to disputes, illegal land grabs, and loss of property rights.

“The days of compromising professionalism are over,” said Mr. Dauda. “We will not tolerate any form of malpractice within the Ministry. Anyone caught will face the full force of the law.”

As part of the crackdown, the Ministry is expected to introduce stricter verification processes and collaborate more closely with the Anti-Corruption Commission and law enforcement agencies to ensure accountability.

The Director’s strong stance comes at a time when land issues remain a growing concern for many citizens, especially in urban areas where demand for land is high. His declaration is seen as a bold step toward restoring order and transparency in Sierra Leone’s land administration system.
