One of the fastest growing charitable organizations in Sierra Leone, Big Apple Foundation is making tremendous effort in transforming the lives of the vulnerable across the country. This has sparked praises across the nation for their selfless sacrifice and commitment in national development.
The organization headed by a young philanthropist, Mr. Joseph Patrick, a U.S based Sierra Leonean citizen intimated this press that the organization is fully committed to serve the nation. Mr. Patrick narrated that Sierra Leone is the only country we can call home and it is our fundamental right as citizens to give back to Sierra Leone.
“Is painful to see other nations doing extremely well for their country and citizens. It is our responsibility to follow suit and help build Sierra Leone in the little way we can.
‘’As CEO and leader of the foundation am committed to ensure we reach out to all across the nation with our little donations. We are non-political but one ‘Big Family’ with a huge vision.
Mr. Philipson Kamara emphasize that Big Apple Foundation mainly is involve in humanitarian aid and Emergency Poverty Reduction and Social Development.
Since the inception of Big Apple it has been responding to education, agriculture, health and other development challenges. “We are walking in all regions in Sierra Leone to reach out the poorest and most marginalized communities,” Mr. Kamara pointed out.
Recently the organization has robustly embarked on improving various health sectors through their individual funds and sponsoring pupils and students with different learning materials.
One of the beneficiaries, Hannah Morrison expressed joy and gratitude towards the CEO Mr. Joseph Patrick and the foundation for their selfless love towards them. She said Big Apple is unique and indeed they have proven to be trust worthy and committed in their work.
