Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah aka C. Bah, has been named West Africa’s Best Minister of Information, receiving a prestigious Certificate of Honor from Afriqu Europe Magazine for his exceptional leadership in public communication and civic education.
The honor was formally presented by Lokombe Nkalulu, Editor-in-Chief of Afriqu Europe Magazine, and Abdoul Rahaman Bah, an investigative journalist, during a ceremony celebrating Minister Bah’s contributions to transparency, open access to information, and meaningful government-citizen engagement.
According to the Africa Diaspora Journalists Network, which oversaw the selection process, Minister Bah was recognized for his tireless efforts to modernize government communication systems, strengthen public trust, and foster civic awareness across Sierra Leone.
His leadership, the group noted, has set a new benchmark for information management and public accountability in the sub-region.
“This recognition is not just a personal milestone,” Minister Bah said. “It is a reflection of our Ministry’s mission to build an informed, engaged, and empowered citizenry.”
The award highlights Sierra Leone’s growing reputation for progressive information policy and reaffirms the Ministry’s commitment to promoting ethical, accessible, and impactful communication in governance.
