Prakash Ramrakhyans an Indian national and Sindhi Chamantall also an Indian national made their first appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah of Pademba Road court No.1 in Freetown on a count charge to wit Obtaining money by false pretences contrary to section 32 (1) of the larceny Act 1916
According to the particulars of offence on Wednesday 17th September 2025 at majestic travel and tours Airline office at #15 Siaka Steven Street in the Western Area in Freetown with intent to defraud by obtaining the sum of two hundred and forty three thousand eight hundred and six Leones(243,806) equivalent to ten thousand one hundred and sixty united States dollars from Ibrahim Koroma by falsely pretending that he will provide six Air tickets on board ASKY Airline to and from the Republic of the Gambia for the Chief Justice( Justice Komba Kamanda of Sierra Leone and five other judges of Sierra Leone knowing same to be false).
After the charge was read and explained to the accused persons they pleaded guilty.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Jah refused bail and sent the defendants to the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to the 30th September 2025.
