Citizens Brace for June 24: Failing to Deliver, We Vote You Out!
Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad are calling for the attention of President Julius Maada to be aware of the fact that, the constitution of Sierra Leone makes it clear that there is no provision for a ‘must happen or must be’ second term, in any event a sitting president fails to deliver for the people of Sierra Leone in his first term in office. The only alternative the people of Sierra Leone have is to vote a failure president out!
The people of Sierra Leone when they voted in 2018, expected much from President Bio to make the common man live a better life. This was among the several other reasons why the people of this country voted out the APC and voted for the SLPP and for President Bio to make sure that sierra Leoneans are happy.
Unfortunately, in less than three months when the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) took over government, the people of this country are fed up with the New Direction.
In all sectors you visit, you will hear the cries of the people that living in the country is hard. “We are tired of this government, nothing to write home about, only hardship that this failed SLPP New Direction is bringing on the people of Sierra Leone,” a US State Department said.
South-Easterners are however disappointed and are of the view that come June 24 this year, governance will change from SLPP to APC.
Dr. Walton Gilpin’s Managerial Competence & Experience…
Under 2 Years, Sorry State of RCBank Transformed to Fastest Growing Bank
The Rokel Managing Director, Dr. Ekundayo Walton Gilpin since he assumed office has demonstrated resilience, competence and managerial skills never seen before in other officials in the banking history of Sierra Leone.
It is no longer news that when Dr. Ekundayo Walton Gilpin assumed office, he met the RCBank teetering on the precipice of liquidity and redundancy in addition to other ills like massive debt and poor management affecting the bank.
But with his expertise and managerial skills, Dr. Ekundayo Walton Gilpin in less than two years turned around the sorry state of affairs of the RCbank into one the fastest growing bank with the most technological advancement and systems.
It is against this background that the RCBank and its Managing Director have won severally and individually many different national and international awards, all pointing to the fact that hard work brings dividends. In the same vein, due to his dexterity, unequalled competence and high sense of responsibility and unequalled performance, Dr. Gilpin was awarded by President Julius Maada Bio during a National Awards and Insignia Ceremony held at State House.
