Day Break To Commence ‘Head Of The Month’ Profiling Column

Daybreak is announcing the start of a monthly profiling of heads of institutions, including MDAs and businesses in the country. The aim of this venture is to offer Sierra Leoneans a concise view of the respective individuals and institutions towards the development of the country.

Starting from September 2023 this medium will be embarking on a monthly profiling of the best performing business head or MDA, and the venture will be dubbed: ‘Head of Institution of the Month’.

The selected individual or civil servant will be profiled on Daybreak alongside his or her ministry, department or agency and business institution. There will also be a Q&A section, where the month’s winner will be interviewed in an “In Their Own Words” column, containing information on their work and future plans.

In this platform, the ‘Head of the Month’ winner will speak about their plans, challenges and successes. This platform will help to develop the institution of the winner.

This Daybreak monthly profiling will help government MDAs and businesses to be competitive and their employees, goal oriented.

Daybreak believes that by showcasing high performing individuals and heads of MDAs, they will also be contributing to the development of the nation.

It must be recalled that the first Chief Minister, David Francis, had introduced a national government award that highlights civil servants that performed well, even beyond the call of duty. This medium believes that such a competition was a well thought out idea, as it will help government MDAs to think competitively, and all was aimed at developing the state and people.

Daybreak will like for the communications units in all government MDAs and businesses to call this medium to see how we can coordinate this effort.
