Dr. Hawa Senesie, a distinguished alumna of Port Loko Catholic Secondary School, has recently made a significant contribution to her alma mater by donating a brand-new brass band valued at over 90,000 Leones. This generous donation aims to enhance pupils’ engagement in musical activities and extracurricular programs.
The brass band was officially handed over to the Catholic Old Students Association (COSA), which subsequently presented it to the school administration during a formal ceremony. This initiative underscores Dr. Senesie’s unwavering dedication to the institution.
Prior to this donation, Dr. Senesie had contributed Le30,000 to COSA to support the rehabilitation of the Junior Secondary School, further demonstrating her commitment to improving the educational facilities.
Dr. Senesie’s educational journey began at Port Loko Catholic Secondary School, after which she attended Fourah Bay College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology. She later relocated to the United States, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nursing. Her academic pursuits culminated in a Doctorate in Nursing from Chamberlain University and Nova Southeastern University, making her the first student from her school to achieve this prestigious qualification.
Currently, Dr. Senesie serves as a Nurse Practitioner at Harmony Medical Transitions, a reputable medical facility in the United States.
