Italian Philanthropist Signs MOU with WCSTC

Italian Philanthropist, Rizzi Cristiano on February 3rd 2026 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Women’s Creation Skills Training Center situated at No 71 Robert Street in the Western District of the Western Area.

In her welcome address, the founder of the Center Madam Kadie Jalloh said, the Center was established in 2018 to empower Women and Girls in Career Training such as Tailoring, Art and Craft and Gara tie dye. She said since its establishment, the Center has trained over one hundred women and girls from all regions, communities and has contributed immensely towards the Socio Economic sustainability of thousands of homes. She said Sierra Leone has an international reputation for its hospitality a rich Cultural Traditional end Customary heritages. She said she hope that Rizzi Cristiano’s visit will serve as a stepping stone to promote end develop women in Sierra Leone.

In his reply Mr. Cristiano said he is very much delighted to be here, adding that Italy is a catholic country principally interested to promote humanity irrespective of their background and Sierra Leoneans are no exception. He said the center contributes a lot to alleviated the poverty and inspire women and girls to engage in career training programs which is fundament to humanity. He promised to do his best to ensure that the Centre is one worth emulation by others.
