Evangelist Kobba Appointed Deputy Executive Chairperson of PRA*

Freetown, Sierra Leone – In a significant move for Sierra Leone’s energy sector, President Julius Madda Bio has appointed Alfred M. Kobba as the Deputy Executive Chairperson of the Petroleum Regulatory Agency. With an impressive array of qualifications and a wealth of experience in various reputable organizations. Kobba is poised to make a substantial impact on the Nation’s petroleum industry.
Alfred Kobba’s qualifications include Management and Leadership Skills for Environmental Health Service Professionals, National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) certification from the United Kingdom, and an International General Certificate (IGC) in Occupational Health and Safety. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction in Petroleum & Natural Gas Management from Amity University in Noida, India, and an LLM in International Oil & Gas Law and Policy from the University of Dundee in Scotland, United Kingdom. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc. Hons) in Financial Services from the University of Sierra Leone and a Diploma in Christian Ministry from The Evangelical College of Theology (TECT).
Alfred Kobba brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles. He served as the Head of Public Affairs/Communications at the National Telecommunications Commission (NATCOM) and held managerial positions at renowned organizations such as Mantrac (CAT) SL Limited, Mypay Electronic Payment Services, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), GOAL IRELAND/EY, Vodacom Business Africa Sierra Leone Limited, Standard Chartered Bank SL Limited, and Millicom International Cellular, SL Limited. His diverse background in sales, marketing, operations management, and business development equips him with a multifaceted understanding of the industry.
With his extensive knowledge and expertise, Kobba is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping Sierra Leone’s petroleum sector policies and regulations.
