The Feed The Hungry Sierra Leone is a non-governmental organization founded by some patriotic and proactive Sierra Leoneans who are convinced that development does not rest in the hands of the government and its development partners alone, but also in the hands the people.
Some of the goals of the FTH-SL is to promote and support government’s initiative in the school feeding for primary school children, disaster preparedness and response, agriculture by empowering smallholder farmers, public health education and awareness, sexual reproductive health right (SRHR), STEM, talents, Technological skills development and education, vocational skills education, amongst others. It is the vision of FTH-SL to be a leader in enhancing nexus of technology and women on socio- economic activities to promote productivity and empowerment, thus closing the gender gap. And our mission is to promote and strengthen the capacity of the youths, prioritize women and girls especially the physically challenge through access and use of ICT, research training, information and support activities in the field of education, socio-economic empowerment, leadership and women’s network building.
The non-governmental organization Feed will commence its health education awareness raising campaign program on TV and radio.
The program is expected to target wider audience to help reduce the misconception among Sierra Leoneans about health issues and seeking medication. It will also focus on the spread and danger in drug abuse that have affected the youthful generation which is a threat to the nation’s future.
