The female Premier League Board, are group of women that love and respect soccer, and are organizing the female Premier League competition. This competition breeds young talented female players from different parts of the country to show case their talents in football. The female Premier League Board held a press conference at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) headquarter at kingtom, informing the press about the competition and challenges ahead of the League.
Moreover, according to the Secretary of the Female Premier League Board, Angela Gabbidon, the league is going to commence on the 23rd of December 2023 at the southern Arena stadium in Bo. Angela also said that all the twelve teams that were in last year’s competition are competing this year again, because there was no relegation last year, and this time around there will be relegation of teams that under perform.
In addition to that, the Chairperson of the Board, Catherine A. Sellah, affirmed that football is one of the greatest sports in the whole world, though male football dominate the female football, but to match up with this challenge they need a lot of support from the media to disseminate their information to the wider world concerning their upcoming activities.
