FINIC manufactures 2 categories of equipment that transform cassava tubers into gari:
Category 1 – Near Manual
Near Manual comprises of one none stainless grater, one cassava press, one sifter and one roasting tray. This Category targets beginners with limited budget. With a committed team, 2 or bags of gari can be processed per day of 10 hours.
Category 2 – Near Mechanized
Near mechanized is comprised of one stainless grater, one hydraulic press, one peeling machine, one mechanized Gari Fryer and one stainless sifter.
With a committed team, the Near Mechanized can process 20 bags of gari per day of 10 hours. The Mechanized Fryer in this category can accommodate 160kg of cassava flakes in a batch (one go) and each batch lasts for 45 minutes. Also standing out in this category is the stainless Cassava peeling machine which is proving highly effective as it can peel 30 bags (each of 50kg) of cassava per hour.
