Feed Salone is one of the ‘5 Big Changer’ flagship projects of President Julius Maada Bio which aims at ensuring that Sierra Leoneans in the country do not go to bed hungry and have at least two meals a day. One of the institutions that has pledged their support is a non- governmental organization called focus 1000.
Focus 1000 has been operating in Sierra Leone for over twenty years by undertaking humanitarian activities by assisting the less privilege people. It’s been operating in all the fourteen districts in the country. One of its recent developments is by taking their work to Falaba District where they trained over people in First aid services.
The District Coordinator of Focus1000 in Falaba district said after the completion of the training on medical services they would support participants with tools to carry out their work, adding that referral would only come in an extreme case. The people appreciated the work of Focus 1000 and prayed for more opportunities to be taken to their district.
