Some political pundits say the minister acted like a judge in a debate when the occasion didn’t call for a debate but a town hall meeting where he was expected to act as an independent moderator who should seek both parties Interests in the discussions and treat them with mutual respect. Instead, he openly condemned the lady in front of a crowd of approximately 200-300 people as if she was wrong to insist on asking the President. That SheStands maintained that as a gender and governance organization they total distance themselves from the act in instilling fear and intimidation in the woman. ’’We strongly believe in freedom of expression,’’ the organization noted.
‘’We believed that women must be given unfettered access to equal opportunities like men to enjoy the right of Freedom of Expression in the manner that they can bring an understanding of their feelings over the burning issues affecting them,;; SheStand further stated.
The organization says that women’s rights are not only recognized on paper but also in reality and practice
