Moses and Juliet on the Run

Following a violent protest of citizens for persistent economic hardship in Sierra Leone which started from 8th to 10th August 2022, Twenty-Nine (29) years old Moses Simeon Kamara and Twenty-Eight (28) years old Juliet Brima are presently on the run and has been declared wanted by the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) for their involvement into a riotous conduct against the seating government of President Dr Julius Maada Bio. According to investigations conducted by this medium revealed that, the suspects Moses Simeon Kamara and fiance, Juliet Brima were both seen openly in a riotous and violent conduct, chanting insult against the President, throwing missiles on the police and disorderly misbehave during a protest which were concentrated in Freetown, Makeni and Kamakwie respectively.
Moses Simeon Kamara and fiance were students at the Institute of Public Administration and Management, IPAM university of Sierra Leone were living together before the August protest which presently put them on the wanted suspects of the police.
However, Simeon Kamara was born on the 20th June 1996 in Makeni northern province of Sierra Leone and he relocated to Freetown, Kissy Black Hall Road Community to pursue his formal education on “Human Resource Management” at the aforementioned university where he met with his girlfriend, Juliet Brima. Juliet Brima was born on the 2nd March 1997 at Kailahun District was pursuing an under graduate degree in Accounting (IPAM).
According to investigations conducted at the aforementioned community were the two lovers were residing revealed that, police and some members of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party SLPP came in a desperate mood to kill the two lovers if they had met them.
Others said some family members of both Moses and Juliet are been arrested and taken to prison, while the search for the two lovers by some SLPP members is very desperate and worrisome to kill them, many neighbours explained in a fear mood.
During a police press conference on September 24th 2022 at the Police Headquarter’s on George Street in Freetown, the police said Moses and girlfriend Juliet were also ring leaders who organised other youths group in Makeni and Black Hall Road Community in Freetown, to course mayhem and throwing missiles, holding pla-cards, knifes among many other harmful materials and substance like pepper spray.
The police continued that, no one is above the laws of Sierra Leone and therefore the law will take it full course against protesters, thereby imprisoned them once they are found guilty after our investigations, the police said.
Our investigations further revealed, Simeon and his lover, Juliet are in the top list of those that are wanted by the police, as some sources says Simeon came from a strong background of the opposition, “All People’s Congress APC party.
Furthermore, Civil Society Organisations CSO’s and many other advocacy organisations condemn the act of the police to target and declare the two lovers wanted. According to them, citizens have the right to freedom of speech and express their opinion over the current state of economic hardship, including the high cost of university fees, lack of electricity and water supply and many other basic necessities.
Others said they believed that it is a witch-hunt against Moses and Juliet.
The Daybreak Newspaper also gathered that, the organisers of the 2022 August 10th protest were diasporas some of whom are based in Holland headed by one (Mohamed Kamara) popularly known as Adebayor including one (Alie Kamara) who is the head of a gang group called “People’s Power in Politics” (PPP).
During the said riots which led to the destruction of lives and properties, many youths and police officers including military personnel lost their lives during the process and as a result of cross firing of live rounds between the security forces and the aggrieved youths.
However, the police put out a handsome reward that will be given to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of the suspects Moses Simeon Kamara and girlfriend, Juliet Brima.
