Forgery & Mismanagement Allegations…

Baptism of Fire for Denis Sandi!

The Ministry of Works and Public Assets has reportedly been thrown into a state of confusion and administrative disarray under the leadership of Minister Dr. Denis Monina Sandi. According to reliable sources within the Ministry, operations have become increasingly chaotic due to what they describe as “self-imposed decisions” and directives allegedly influenced by external sources from State House.

Insiders allege that Dr. Sandi has been making unilateral decisions without proper consultation or adherence to established government protocols, creating widespread uncertainty among staff and contractors.

This confusion, according to reports, has led to stalled projects, delayed payments, and a general slowdown/breakdown in service delivery — putting several key government works’ projects at risk of collapse.

Critics within the Ministry claim that Dr. Sandi’s management style has undermined efficiency and accountability, describing the situation as a “box-up” that threatens to erode public trust in one of the government’s most crucial infrastructure ministries.

Meanwhile, the embattled Minister is also said to be facing an ongoing legal battle at the High Court of Sierra Leone over allegations of forgery relating to a controversial divorce document. The case, which has attracted public attention, further deepens the controversy surrounding Dr. Sandi’s tenure at the Ministry of Works.

Observers say the combination of administrative disorder and personal legal troubles could have serious implications for the Ministry’s credibility and the government’s broader infrastructure agenda.

Calls are now growing louder for greater oversight and accountability structures to restore order and ensure that the Ministry fulfils its mandate to the people of Sierra Leone.
