Former SLCRA President Alhaji Arthwah Maddie Wins First Legal Case

The former President of the Sierra Leone Court Reporters Association (SLCRA), Alhaji Arthwah Maddie, has made a remarkable transition from journalism to law. Now officially a legal practitioner, Mr. Arthwah was called to the Sierra Leone Bar Association on the 22nd of November, 2024.

In a significant milestone, Mr. Arthwah secured his first legal victory at Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 5. Serving as the defense counsel, he skillfully argued his case and demonstrated an impressive command of legal principles. His compelling presentation not only showcased his growing expertise in the legal field but also succeeded in persuading the magistrate to acquit and discharge the defendant.
