GHF Celebrates with Vulnerable Children

In what has been described as a remarkable humanitarian gesture, the US based Glory of Hope Foundation in marking New Year ’s Day celebrated with over two hundred and fifty vulnerable children aged 5 to 15 years at Kobba Waterloo Macdonald Village Community and its environs in pump and pageantry amid dancing, singing and praises to their Creator.

In his speech, the country Consultant Mr. Sullay Suntus Kamara said the foundation has existed over the years principally based on assisting the educational and welfare needs of vulnerable children. He said on Christian and Islamic festivities, the foundation organizes a get together with registered children to rekindle their hope for a better future. He also maintained that only when children come together for a purpose do they release that someone else care for their destiny. He thanked the parents and guardians for their successes in conquering the hideous task of caring for children. He encouraged them not to relent as the children are our future fathers and mothers by applying the best caring mechanisms they would be citizens worth emulation.

Finance Officer, Madam Kadija Jalloh thanked the founders of the foundation Mr.  & Mrs. Pastor Matthew Papa Kamara, she said despite leaving thousands of miles away. Their minds, soul and hearts still reflects in their roots. She said this couples are of great distinction and noted that their commitments has showed the love they have for humanity in particular. Helping the children of others to live in happiness is what our Creator asked us to do. She said as long as the foundation is concerned, it is not only limited to MacDonald but hopes to do the same in other parts of the country. She appealed to other Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad to support the foundations core values and build a tomorrow’s Sierra Leone greater than ours. She said our brighter future depends on how much we care for our children and our goals must not separate then from ripping our benefits. That shows how human we era. She promised that the foundation will do its best to bring happiness to our children especially the vulnerable. She thanked the entire staff who volunteer for the work assiduously to make it happen.
