GIRAFAB Technology Limited officially introduced itself to the cyberspace of Sierra Leone and beyond at an event held at the RO M’ BOTHI ECO SPACE, located at 6 Kent Road, Bureh Town, Freetown.
The aim of the event was to inform the public about the affordable software solutions chip they have developed for various workspaces.
Chairman of the Independent Radio Network (IRN), Andrew Koroma, emphasized the importance of empowering young people, integrating technology into development, and fostering environmental sustainability. During his address on the official Launching of the GIRAFAB Technology Ltd. Koroma spoke passionately about being inspired by young leaders’ contributions, which drove him to support their initiatives.

He introduced two key figures making waves in Sierra Leone: Kadiatu Kamara, a fashion designer and eco-environment advocate, and Abdul Kamara, a technology expert focusing on innovative solutions for agriculture and development.
Kadijatu Kamara who returned from the UK after studying fashion design, has significantly influenced Sierra Leone’s fashion industry. Beyond design, she has engaged in activism, raising awareness for children and promoting eco-friendly initiatives. Her vision combines environmental preservation with economic opportunities, leveraging Sierra Leone’s natural beauty and resources.
Abdul Kamara a graduate of Sierra Leone University and a technology innovator, has developed solutions tailored to the country’s needs. His expertise in IoT (Internet of Things) is transforming agriculture by providing tools that help farmers predict weather patterns, monitor moisture levels, and improve crop yields.
Koroma stressed the critical role of media in amplifying such impactful stories, calling on journalists to promote these initiatives to inspire broader societal change. “Technology and innovation are pivotal for Sierra Leone’s development,” he said, encouraging networking and collaboration to sustain progress.
