On Saturday, November 16, 2024, Harvest Christian College celebrated the achievements of 22 graduates in a colourful ceremony at the Harvest Intercontinental Church, Dwarzark Junction.
The event honoured the hard work and dedication of students who completed programs in both Christian education and secular management courses, reflecting the college’s holistic approach to education.
Rev. Josef Howard, the keynote speaker, emphasized the spiritual and practical responsibilities awaiting the graduates. “God expects you to know Him, grow in Him, go for Him, and glow for Him,” he advised. Rev. Howard encouraged the graduates to be vessels of healing and liberation, bringing hope to the depressed and freedom to the oppressed.
Rev. Millicent Fatima Abiodu Thompson, a representative of the graduating class, delivered an emotional welcome address, describing graduation as a rite of passage. “This ceremony is a testament to our hard work, determination, and the unwavering support of our educators and families,” she noted.
She expressed gratitude to the college’s principal and lecturers, acknowledging their instrumental role in shaping the graduates’ minds and ministry capacities. She urged her peers to embrace the next chapter with resilience and a commitment to excellence.
Reflecting on the challenges faced during their studies, Rev. Thompson highlighted the grace and faith that carried them through obstacles and unmet expectations. “We have grown in ways we never imagined when we first stepped onto the campus of Harvest Christian College,” she said, calling on her fellow graduates to continue seeking knowledge, embracing challenges, and striving for excellence in their future endeavours.
