Hindolo Francis Barnett, widely known as Chairman Barnett, is a true grassroots politician, committed to unity, inclusivity, and service. His humility, honesty, and unwavering integrity makes him the kind of leader North America and Sierra Leone deserve for a just and better society.
But Chairman Barnett’s impact extends far beyond North America. Through his Hope for a Better Youth Foundation, he has transformed countless lives in Sierra Leone. During the COVID-19 lockdown, he collaborated with other well-meaning SLPP members in North America to raise funds and provide over 300 bags of rice to support SLPP members back home. This is the kind of leadership and generosity that defines him.
Before the 2018 elections, the SLPP membership in North America was not widely recognized compared to UK & Ireland. However, Barnett’s official visit revitalized the region, giving it a much-needed facelift. Under his visionary leadership, he and his executive team successfully organized a conference in America and played a crucial role in fundraising efforts that helped finance the SLPP’s campaign.
Chairman Barnett has been a staunch supporter of President Bio since 2012, long before many believed in his leadership. There is documented evidence of his loyalty and dedication to the party. Despite SLPP being in power for nearly seven years, Barnett has never been appointed to any government position, yet he continues to serve the party with passion and commitment.
During the 2023 elections, he was on the ground in Sierra Leone, actively working for the SLPP campaign, particularly in the Western Area. His dedication and love for the party have been unwavering from childhood, and he remains a strong pillar of the SLPP.
