The Honourable Member of Parliament representing Kambia District and Tonko Limba Chiefdom, Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma has extended support to university students in his constituency by disbursing a total of One Hundred Thousand New Leones (NLe100,000) as financial assistance in 2025 . The gesture is aimed at easing the burden of tuition and other academic expenses, ensuring that deserving students can continue their education without interruption.
The Education Scheme of Honourable Ernest Dura Koroma is intended to assist beneficiaries with tuition fees to enable them to pursue their studies with greater focus and determination.
It has provided financial support to deserving students pursuing diverse courses in Universities across the country.
According to Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma ” I hold the fervent belief that education is the strongest foundation for personal growth and national development”. He stressed that empowering the youth through education remains a top priority of his leadership.
” I firmly believe that education remains the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty and unlock opportunities for young people” he averred.
He encouraged the beneficiaries to remain focused, disciplined, and determined to excel in their studies so they can meaningfully contribute to the development of their communities, the Chiefdom and the nation at large.
As this is an annual financial support to a cross-section of university students in his constituency, the honourable directed all applications for the Scheme to the Manager.
