Hon. Mohamed Fofanah Hails President Bio’s Successes

The ruling Member of Parliament Hon. Mohamed Tarawallie Fofanah, from Kambia district, North West Region has lauded President Julius Maada Bio’s leadership, describing his accomplishments as “Generational Achievements” that have elevated Sierra Leone’s global standing and advanced critical sectors like healthcare and diplomacy.
While honorable Fofanah was debating on the Presidential speech at the second session of the re-opening of Sierra Leone Parliament. Speaking on President Bio’s milestone, Hon. Fofanah, highlighted that in August 2024, President Bio served as the President of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), a historic moment for Sierra Leone and Africa at large. Hon. Fofe, who attended the UNSC meeting alongside President Bio, expressed immense pride in seeing a Sierra Leonean leader presiding over discussions with world leaders. He emphasized that this achievement symbolizes a new era of recognition for Sierra Leone on the global stage, strengthening the country’s foreign relations, especially among the Sierra Leonean diaspora in New York.

“This is not just a milestone for Sierra Leone but for Africa as a whole,” Hon. Fofe stated. “We commend President Bio for this symbolic achievement, which has enhanced our nation’s global image.”
He also praised the progress made in healthcare under President Bio’s leadership, citing the construction of a 600-bed hospital at the 34 Military Barracks as a significant initiative aimed at transforming healthcare delivery in the country. Additionally, he noted the renovation of major healthcare facilities, including the Port Loko Government Hospital and the Magburaka Government Hospital, among others.
“These projects demonstrate the government’s unwavering commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and access for the people of Sierra Leone,” he remarked.
Hon. Fofe concluded by commending President Bio’s multifaceted efforts in diplomacy, healthcare, and development, underscoring their long-lasting impact on the nation’s progress. He called on all Sierra Leoneans to rally behind the President’s vision for a more prosperous and globally respected Sierra Leone
