On Saturday, November 30 2024, the development-oriented Member of Parliament, Hon. Mohamed T. Fofanah, commissioned the construction of seven culverts in Kambia District, sponsored by the Road Maintenance Fund Administration (RMFA). This initiative is part of a series of projects facilitated by Hon. Mohamed T. Fofanah for the people of Kambia, aimed at bringing sustainable development to the community.
During his address to the community, Hon. Mohamed T. Fofanah reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the promises he made during his campaign to become a Member of Parliament. He emphasized the importance of President Bio’s vision for sustainable development in the country and assured the people of Kambia District that they will continue to see progress under the leadership of the government and the SLPP party.
Hon. Mohamed T. Fofanah highlighted his role in advocating and facilitating development projects on behalf of the community. He stressed the need for collaboration between the contractors, local residents, and government officials to ensure the timely completion of the culvert construction. Additionally, he urged the community to safeguard the materials and resources being used for the project to prevent any disruptions or delays.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by notable figures such as the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Ibrahim Tawa Conteh, and the Deputy Executive Chairman for the National Petroleum Regulatory Agency, Alfred Koba and a host of other honorable Members of Parliament, as well as the District Council Chairman of Kambia District, the Chief Administrator of Kambia District Council, and the Paramount Chief. Their presence underscored the importance of the culvert construction project in enhancing infrastructure and promoting economic growth in Kambia District.
