For nearly thirty (30) years, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura has been politically active in the service of the All People’s Congress (#APC), both in opposition and in government. Those who were called to serve during the former #APC administration received unwavering support from him whenever and wherever he was needed.

Whether tasked with shaping the party’s political manifesto, conducting elections for flagbearer aspirants during the APC’s National Delegates Conference, or openly campaigning for various APC candidates across different regions and villages.

The Associate Professor has consistently demonstrated his love for his party and comrades in ways that words cannot fully capture.

To his critics, he maintained that thirty years of experience in a party is insufficient to lead that institution. ‘’The change we need in the APC is to have a new leader with fresh ideas. One unblemished by political scandals and untarnished by what seems to be a national curse; corruption,’’ he stated. He said for both young and old, the dynamic and energetic he has been there to serve all tirelessly and effortlessly.

When you ask about factories or jobs he has created, Dr. Bangura pointed out that thousands of young and old Sierra Leoneans he has empowered through the impartation of knowledge at various universities across Africa and beyond. ‘’A good leader knows what the people need,’’ he remarked. This expert in governance and peacebuilding will usher in perpetual peace and unity, as well as national progress through the establishment of sustainable businesses and robust independent institutions that can drive national growth.

One political observer said, ‘’This time, the Associate Professor will not be teaching theoretically. He will demonstrate how it’s done practically.’’
