Is Govt. Hiding the Truth?
Reports have surfaced alleging that a wanted drug baron, sought by the Dutch authorities on drug-related charges, has been residing in the country for the past six months while maintaining close ties with top government officials.
According to social media revelations, the fugitive has been engaged in business dealings with key figures within the administration. This has raised serious concerns about due diligence procedures and the extent of government officials’ involvement. Critics argue that proper background checks should have been conducted before engaging in any business transactions with the convict.
The unfolding scandal has sparked widespread public outrage, with calls for a thorough investigation into how the convicted drug trafficker was able to operate freely within the country for months. Many are questioning whether lapses in the security apparatus or complicity at higher levels of government contributed to his prolonged stay.
Authorities are yet to officially comment on the allegations, but pressure is mounting for immediate action to address the situation and restore public trust.
However, the Information Minister, Chernor Bah has categorically denied that the convicted drug baron is not residing in Sierra Leone. Minister Bah further disclosed to journalists that the Dutch authorities have so far not yet contacted the Sierra Leone Government.
