NRA Chief Wraps-Up Tax Matters

In her maiden meeting as a UN Tax Committee Member, Sierra Leone’s Commissioner General, Mrs. Jeneba J. Bangura helped advance the work programme on priorities for developing countries, spanning tax and the SDGs, updates to the UN Model, capacity-building for stronger tax administration, and fair, effective rules on transfer pricing and the digital economy. Discussions also explored how AI can strengthen tax administrations and compliance while supporting equity, including gender-responsive tax policy amongst others.

The NRA Commissioner General leaves Geneva aligned, energized, and ready to translate these global deliberations into practical reforms at home.  She added Sierra Leone’s voice to decisions that will shape the next four years.
