The AGM was scheduled to precede the Bar Association\u2019s elections, which were expected to be held on Saturday, 1st August 2026. However, what was anticipated to be a routine gathering of legal professionals instead became the centre of controversy, raising questions about the independence of professional institutions and the circumstances surrounding the venue dispute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to statements made by the Association\u2019s Public Relations Officer, Alfred Kamanda, members of the executive were denied access to the conference hall upon arrival.
