Parliament has approved the appointment of Chernor Mamoud Jalloh as the Director General of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), paving the way for him to officially assume leadership of the country\u2019s pension and social security institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The approval followed the consideration of a report by the Committee on Appointments and the Public Service after Mr. Jalloh appeared before Members of Parliament to present his vision for strengthening the institution. Mr. Jalloh\u2019s appointment forms part of President Julius Maada Bio\u2019s recent changes to the leadership of key public institutions. He succeeds Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, who previously served as Director General.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
