Early february 2016, an incident occurred at savage square in the east part of freetown.according to sources reaching the day break newspaper, one business man by the name of mr sorie santigie kamara residing at savage square with his children, two sons and a daughter and grand children as well owns huge land/properties across the country which he acquired with legal documents.
One day mr sorie santigie kamara was approached by a man living in the same neighbourhood by the name of mr aruna mansaray, who is financially stable and is surrounded by heavy political influence, with a discussion that he wants to buy some of his properties, but he reluctantly denied all the offers.
Mr aruna, because of his political connections, became very angry after failing to convince mr sorie santigie kamara from numerous attempts and big offers.
Mr aruna next move was to organise thugs and vandalised one of the houses of mr sorie.
As if that was not enough, a month later he, mr aruna sent his thugs for the second time, and this time, he targeted the main house where mr sorie and his children are living together with grand children as well.the said attack was fatal as it claims the lives of mr sorie santigie kamara and his only daughter, mariama s. Kamara.
The younger son of the deceased man by the name of abubakar sorie kamara who witnessed the brutal killings of his father and his sister managed to escape and passed the night elsewhere as his elder brother was not at home during the attack.
After police investigations came out with no tangible findings, the two sons and the remaining family members decided to relocate at the rural area of rokel, where the late man left another big property with the feelings that they are safe and could start a fresh life.
After a while, mr aruna found out about the place they relocated to and decided to wipe out the sons having the fear that they will one day prosecute him when power might change hands.
This time around when the thugs attacked, they firstly demand for the documents for all the properties owned by the late man mr sorie santigie kamara as part of their orders before eventually stabbing the elder son kelleh kamara to death.
After seeing all these bloody incidents, the younger son and only child remaining ,abubakar sorie kamara flee the country together with all his younger relatives to libya.
After some time in libya he succeeded in crossing with a boat to europe.
A cousin of abubakar sorie kamara by the name of osman kargbo and her daughter hawa fatmata kargbo were left as occupants of the house at rokel.
Around early may in 2025, a group of sierra leoneans were deported back home from germany and when mr aruna heard about the news, he presumed that abu bakarr sorie kamara was among the deportees.
As mr aruna was bent on to wipe out the lineage of the late mr sorie to avoid any form of possible prosecution in the future, he thought it fit to launch another attack assuming abu bakarr sorie kamara as a deportee and would have no where to stay unless at rokel.
So on the night of the 14th may,2025, at about 11 45 p.m local time, the thugs stormed again in the dark compound, but it was unfortunate for them as their main target was no where to be found.
The daughter of osman kargbo, hawa fatmata kargbo was killed on the attack after she was persistently shouting in fear that abubakar sorie kamara was not even in the country. Their leader consider it as rude and was left with no option but to hit her with a heavy object on the head followed with a stab on the chest while her father manage to escaped.
According to sources reaching the day break newspaper, this notorious bullier can do anything to anyone and go scot-free because he is a powerful man who uses money to shut all law enforcers.
