Wusum Stars, Kamboi Eagles in Goalless Draw

The Leone Rock Premier League 2024/25 saw Wusum Stars and Kamboi Eagles in a goalless draw at the Wusum Mini Stadium in Makeni past Sunday.

Despite both teams having several opportunities, neither side managed to break the deadlock, resulting in a share of the spoils.

The match featured a few moments of tension, with a total of three yellow cards shown. Wusum Stars’ Edison Sonnie was booked in the 53rd minute, while Kamboi Eagles’ Alimamy Kamara and Chanke Murana received yellow cards in the 61st and 84th minutes respectively.

The football match also saw Wusum Stars’ captain, Paul Kamara, awarded the Man of the Match honor for his exceptional leadership and performance on the field. Sheku Bailor Conteh, Secretary General for the North East Region Football Association, presented the award to Kamara after the final whistle was blown.

Kamboi Eagles, who are yet to win a match this season, remain in 16th place with 3 points, having drawn three times and lost three matches.
