LordMo “The Golden Music Empire”: Sierra Leone’s Mastermind Music Producer

Lord Mo, widely known as ‘’The Golden Finger’’ is one of Sierra Leone’s most talented and influential music producers. Renowned for his ability to craft chart-topping hits across multiple genres, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s contemporary music landscape.

Moses Kugbe Baimba also known as Lordmo D Golden Finger is a Sierra Leonean Record Producer, Audio Engineer Record Executive, Singer, Entrepreneur and also Current President of the Sierra Leone Music Engineers & Producers Association. He is the founder and CEO of Golden Music Empire formerly (Golden Music Entertainment).

During the early age of the war Lordmo joined his mother in Freetown where he attended the Eva Houston Preparatory School where he scored 407 in his National Primary School Exams (NPSE) and up to date his National record remains untouchable. He later proceeded to the Prince of Wales Secondary School. He also gained knowledge in playing traditional percussions and piano. At age 11 he began to play piano and drums in his church (Word of Faith Ministries) both East and West Branches.

In 2004 Lordmo joined his family friends to produce a gospel album at Mini Max Studio “Don’t Give Up”. Later that same year he joined his music associates to form the Sanjanic Music.

He continued his interest in music associating with Innocent, Delly, Hard N Kool, Slim G, M2, Murran N Cristo, Rahim D Wizard, Heaven Jay

In 2009, Lordmo D Golden Finger formed the Golden Music Empire formerly Golden Music Entertainment but before this time Lordmo has produced many hits from various studios as free-lance engineer. One of his first biggest hit album was in 2006/2007 by Delly Chocolate with the hit song “New Love” the highest played song that year by all marriage parties and night clubs and since then a huge focus was on the first teenage producer. Lordmo produced many hits for both his labelled artist and general public. Some hits include Rahim D Wizard with “Kolo”, Innocent with “Blessing Borbor”, Willie Jay and Laurish with “Milleh”, Muran and Cristo with “Dance Hall Fire” and Brave Unit with “Love is Blind” Album and in few months the studio has become the highest hit producing studio from the East.

In 2010 the studio has become the center of hit for artists both home and abroad. Heyden Adama (female artist base in USA) was introduced with her song “fit in gbet” which up till now is the most viewed video by female Sierra Leonean artist from diaspora. She collaborated with Sugar B from Kenema who was also on recording.

In 2011 Lordmo Golden finger produced some of the best album from Sierra Leone. K-Man D Bingo man at this time has arranged an album project in which that same year the “Nobody else” album was completed which has multiple hits like “Nobody else”, “Na u Sabi dae”, “If me an bin you man”, “Waka waka” and Rest.

Lordmo was on recording project with his labelled Artist Heaven Jay from the Braves Unit Squad. The “Super Star” Album which had hits like “Pass ar die”, “Na love nor more kin do so”, “angel” “try and understand” and more were all over the nation and beyond. In the same year heaven Jay was invited by music fans abroad on a tour to UK, USA, Europe and Australia.

He was awarded the best music producer and studio by the citizens Radio Music Award and also won best music producer by the Sierra Leone Music Television (SLMTV) based in USA. 

Last year the album he did with K-Man D Bingo man won album of the year award by Beeafrican.com Canada

In 2012 Lordmo continues to produce more hits like “put am pan dem” by SQB and this same year he produced another member of the braves unit Patrick Sam by stage name “Patman” with hit songs like “Ar go die wanday”, “Jump en pass” “Gotingo” and rest.

Last year he produced “Ziggy dance” for Peepuls for the ladies. Meanwhile Raggae Spice was on his cheater’s album. And it was this same year that he produced the AWOL artist of the year Lady Laurish with the hit song “phone call” which became a ringing tune in all the phones of music lovers especially students.

In 2013 Lordmo produced more hits songs and this time worked with more artist in both production and song writing although he did not take credit for that. Like “U kyn nor dae album” by Vida.

This same year he produced “explain” by Sierra Leone Rapper “LAJ” Capitano la.

At this time Liberia has arranged for the Artist and management for shows. The Guinea shows was cancelled in the following year due to Ebola outbreak. This same year he worked with Step Q on “kam dae nor” album. And also Slim G was working on his single hit “halaki neba”.

In 2014 Lordmo decided to work with his childhood friends Bless and Future on “Munku” and “banana album”. This was the same year he produced the club anthem “chill Chill” by Mr. 1. He continues to produce with top notched artist Buberry of “Old Fire Wood” fame.

Furthermore, last year he produced an album for Pizy D Goghetta with multiple hits and that year he released another single after the album “Love nor go die”. Last year he won the first Sierra Leone DJ’s award (sledu) at the National Stadium.

In 2015 he also worked with CeeJay and produce “ar dae wonder” and was also working on new project with Sierra Leone Sensational Rnb afro pop singer I tribe and his dou drizzy while working on multiples of single hits.

He was also working with Salone wonder kid Kemedia P on her album “Dancehall Queen”. 

In 2016 one of his most successful project that year was with his friend DJ Kallox on his compilation album “love is the answer”. He produced one of Sierra Leone all time Rapper Ambassador Kao D Nero with the hit song “Hakuna Matata”. This song was so loved by the American Music guru Steven Wonder (producer of Sharkira, Wyclef) etc.

In 2017 He produced E-plus an African connect group featuring Stone Bwoy from Ghana in “love portion”. This same year he was working with H.I. Idibia the younger brother of the African Music Idol 2 Face.

In 2018 due to his political believes he produce himself an album called “Aye” where the hit song “aye” was.

 He also began this year with the hit song “Baddest Chick” by Pizzy 

He has won several awards such as Citizens Award, Tumac Group of Company Award, Meritorious Award, Sierra Leone Music Television Award (SLMTV) USA, First Edition Sierra Leone DJ’s Award (SLEDU), Second Edition Sierra Leone DJ’s Award (SLEDU) and Mountain Music Award.
