Mayor Aki-Sawyerr Celebrates Birthday in Grand Style

Freetown City Hall was filled with excitement and celebration on January 7th 2026, as staff of the Freetown City Council (FCC) surprised Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr with a warm and colorful birthday celebration at her office.

The event brought together council staff, well-wishers, and supporters who gathered to honor the mayor for her dedication, leadership, and remarkable contributions to the transformation of Freetown, popularly known as the “Tree Town” initiative. The atmosphere was joyful, reflecting the strong bond between the mayor and her team.
