A high powered legal team representing the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Sobeh on Sunday September 21 2025 assembled at a location situated at Kendal Street off Mountain Cut to discuss the next move aimed at frustrating Hon. Mohamed Bangura from using the PDP symbol in his bid to contest the 2028 presidential race.
Speaking to the entire members of the Executive, the Secretary General of the Party Alhaji Ben Kamara informed the members that the time has come for Mohamed Bangura to feel the vehement opposition of the party over his false representation which in no way constitute any form of legality. He said the party’s Barrister and Solicitor is working on mechanisms to present the party’s case to the judiciary. He said this is to demonstrate to the people of Sierra Leone that the PDP party is law abiding. He said all members of the party should keep calm until justice is done.
Ben alleged that Mohamed Bangura has displayed the party’s name outside the 2nd floor of 112 Pademba Road in Freetown, no authority has made comment regarding this disgraceful move which does not only affect the PDP but equally so the integrity of the party and the national constitution. He said the PPRC does not need to be reminded but to take immediate action before it’s too late.
The spokesman for the regional Executives Mr. Katta said they should be well prepared to defend the integrity of the party’s constitution. He said Mohamed Bangura’s moves has given them the opportunity to showcase their relative democratic strength and end corruption in the political landscape of Sierra Leone. He added that Mohamed Bangura and all those supporting him are not legal members of the PDP.
