“My Travels Bring Dividend to S/Leone”

Pres. Bio Says

President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Julius Maada Bio has said that, his travels in and out of the country makes dividend for Sierra Leone. He said a lot of people talk about his travels, adding that even though he has ambassadors he could send, they would not be able to make direct connection unlike when he visits.
The President further stated that, the reason behind his travels is to build strong bilateral relation with the countries inviting him. He further said that as President, the way they receive him, is different from the way they receive ambassadors.

“If I assign an ambassador to represent me, it is a little bit difficult for the ambassador or the foreign minister to meet with the president of that country. If he has the opportunity to meet with the president, the time will not be enough for him to explain himself to deliver the message given to him by me,” President Bio said.
He went on to say that his presence has more advantage and gives him the time to sit with his colleague presidents to discuss strong bilateral ties.
President Bio encouraged Sierra Leoneans to believe and trust in him as he is dedicated and working towards his responsibility given to him by the people of Sierra Leone.

The President also said that before he leaves office the people of this country are going to see the benefit of his travels. He further explained to this medium that some trips are sponsored by the President that is inviting him.
The President dais he is worried about the current situation of the Sierra Leone economy and the hardship in the country but that he is calling on all Sierra Leoneans to join him, in fighting for the development of Mama Salone.
