Saving Lives Initiatives offers solace to Kabala School for the Blind.

Saving Lives Initiatives(SLI) has donated one hundred (100) packs of toiletries to the Kabala School for the Blind in Koinadugu district.

Saving Lives Initiatives is a volunteer based organization registered as a 501(c)(3) organization in the United States (Tax ID 47- 5645999). All activities of the organization are carried out through volunteered time with over 95% of all donations going directly into facilitating the training and surgical missions, who’s activities are organized, managed, and operated by volunteers.

The organisation has been organising healthcare training for medical personnel, free surgeries, and donating medical items and supplies.

Last year the organisation donated 100 foam mattresses and 100 blankets to the Kabala School for the Blind and this January 2023, surgeons from UK, USA and the Volunteer surgeons in the country completed 144 free surgeries at the Bo District.

One of the country representative of Saving Lives Initiatives, Suliaman Conteh, said in their first surgical mission trip to Kabala in 2016, the organization made a commitment to adopt and support the Kabala School school of the blind.

“Thanks to our amazing volunteers, we have been able to consistently honor that commitment through the provision of essential materials for the students and faculty (food, water, clothes, braille writing systems, school supplies, mattresses, repair broken beds, blankets” he concluded.

The students appreciated saving lives initiatives for their generosity to Kabala School for the blind.
