The Kono District Football Association (KDFA) chiefdoms League competition, which has kept football at the edge of their seats, reached its thrilling conclusion at the Koidu Community Football Field. The highly anticipated final clash between Nimikoro Chiefdom, the last year winner of the said competition, and Nimiyama Chiefdom FC showcased a display of great sportsmanship that captivated their fans.
In an exhilarating match that had spectators on the edge of their seats, Nimiyama Chiefdom edged triumphantly by securing victory with one goal that sealed their dominance over their opponent, Nimikoro Chiefdom.
As the final whistle was blown, the stadium erupted in jubilation, marking a glorious moment in the history of the KDFA District Chiefdoms League.
In the wake of this important event, the KDFA has extended their appreciation to the sponsors Mr. Babadi Kamara for his contribution towards the development of the game, and also the chairman Kono District Football Association extends and the Kono District Council Chairman Governor Sheku for their contributions.
Moreover, they expressed gratitude to all the participating teams whose relentless efforts as well as the football supporters.
The chairman Mr. Abu Mansaray extended thanks to all fourteen (14) chiefdoms that participated in the competition and also congratulated the winner.
