Sacked Minister Implicated In 419 Scam
A major controversy has erupted in Sierra Leone following allegations of visa fraud involving Yulisa Amadu and the sacked former Minister of Youth Affairs, Mr. Orman Bangura.
The scandal, which has sparked intense debate among Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad, reportedly centers on a fraudulent visa scheme that cost the victims a total of US$130,000.
A video circulated by social media personality, Ami Berry brought the allegations to light, expressing her frustration over Yulisa Amadu’s failure to deliver on his promises after collecting large sums of money. According to Berry, Amadu assured his victims that a portion of the money he was collecting would be given to Minister Orman Bangura as part of the deal. However, after receiving the payments, Amadu allegedly failed to secure the promised visas for his clients.
The scandal has generated widespread outrage, with many citizens calling for accountability and transparency in government affairs.
In response to the public outcry, authorities have reportedly taken action, leading to the dismissal of former Minister Orman Bangura from his position.
The Sierra Leonean government has yet to release an official statement addressing the full extent of the allegations or detailing any ongoing investigations into the matter. However, pressure continues to mount for law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate the case and bring those responsible to justice.
As the story unfolds, Sierra Leoneans are demanding stricter measures to prevent such fraudulent activities, particularly within government circles, to protect citizens from exploitation.
