Defending Champion Play 4 GOD Suffers Defeat

It was a talk about fixture for fans that have dominated the competition more especially United Eagles who put up an outstanding performance in their opening fixture against Tengbehtonia which ended 2-2 and Play 4 God who were the defending champion for the 6th edition of the Potafa competition. It was a favorable weather for the two teams.

It was a match of two giants and discipline side up against big money spenders. United Eagles is own by Ibrahim Nyelekeh.

The lads were really committed since the commencement of the match and convinced the spectators that were in attendance with their composure when the ball is in their possession.

The opener came in the early first half of proceeding when Mohamed Kajua scored from the back of the net for the former Minister of Sports boys.

However, play 4 God recharged their energy and revived from their mistake when the leveler was scored by John Kargbo who was with FC Johansen and now playing for waterfront boys Port Authority.

United Eagles’ team as a whole became distracted and lost concentration from the match. Cyril Kamara, skillful as he is took a far range short by Play 4 God and out beat the attention of young goalkeeper, Emanuel Leigh who gave a lead for the very first time in the encounter.

However, the match went well for United Eagles they made just a single substitution bringing in fresh leg.

Mohamed Tarawally, who was introduced from a distance and goalkeeper Decker was unable to denied the shot.

Bailor Bah who was introduced later in the second 45 minutes of playing got a close chance that would have been the second lead for them gave away the opportunity for Eagles United.

The superb connection finally worked for United Eagles, Bailor Bah assisted Mohamed Tarawally who played very well Mohamed Tarawally took a terrific thunder shot for United Eagles in the final lap of the second half of proceeding.

The match ended United Eagles 3-2 Play 4 God.
